For $10 a month, and $120 a year, you could be a supporter of PSLA Food Bank and help us achieve our ambitions of alleviating food insecurity and giving back to the community.

Why Puget sound Labor AgencY?

At PSLA we strive to support our clients in the most dignified way possible. For us, this means putting customer service at the forefront of everything we do. Visiting PSLA should be a welcoming and inclusive experience, which is why PSLA tries its best to provide culturally appropriate foods, fresh produce, and a variety of dry goods during each visit with us.

Using our new distribution method, clients are allowed to choose the food that they want, rather than making clients take prepackaged grocery boxes. PSLA also serves anyone who comes in, regardless of income or area code, aspiring to support the entire Seattle Community.
We rely mostly on donations and our selection can vary, but we provide multiple sources of dairy, produce, protein, grains, and dried goods during each distribution, allowing our clients to walk away with up to thirty pounds of food. Not only do we provide a large selection of food, but we never put anything out for our clients that we would not eat ourselves, ensuring the quality of the food we distribute.

Comparing our quarter 1 growth from last year (2021) to this year (2022), we can see that PSLA has increased client visits by 16% while operating on the same donations and fiscal support. With more support and partnerships, greater growth could be achieved to help support even more people and their families.

Tracking data from the past 4 years shows that PSLA was on a fantastic trajectory of growth until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Since then, PSLA has invested countless hours into creating a safe environment so that our clients can shop with peace of mind. Now, PSLA is beginning to recover, and closed the past year at our pre-pandemic level highs of client visits.
We are only able to operate through the generosity and support of our partners and community volunteers. We thank you for your continued support.
